If you’re looking for a full day in nature—combining a scenic hike with a relaxing paddle on the water—this program is perfect for you 🌿💧
This time, we’re heading to the beautiful Sasamat Lake.
We’ll start the morning with a peaceful hike along forest trails and the lakeshore, then transition into a fun and calming paddle boarding experience on the water.
🔸 If you prefer not to join the hike, you can simply join us for the paddle boarding part of the program.
📍 Program Details:
- 📅 Date: Saturday, April 25
- 🕗 Start Time (Hike): 8:00 AM
- 🕚 Paddle Boarding Start: Around 11:00 AM
Hiking Details:
- 📏 Distance: 8.5 km
- ⛰️ Elevation Gain: 193 m
- ⏱️ Duration: Approximately 2 to 2.5 hours
- 🔁 Route Type: Loop
The trail begins along the forested shoreline of Sasamat Lake, continues through Woodhaven Trail and the Woodhaven Swamp, offering multiple viewpoints of the unique “drowned forest,” and eventually returns to White Pine Beach.
🔸 Breakfast will be enjoyed about 30 minutes after starting the hike (individual meals).
🍽️ After the Hike:
After completing the hike, we’ll move on to paddle boarding, followed by lunch together by the lake 🍃
(Lunch is also individual)
💰 Fees:
🔹 Paddle Board Rental:
- Official Mungeh Members: $20
- Non-members: $30
🔸 Paddle boards are shared between two people, so you can split the cost with a friend.
🔸 If you don’t have a paddle board, you can request one during registration. Life jackets will be provided.
🔹 If you bring your own paddle board:
- Members: Free
- Guests: $5
🔸 Members can use the discount code SAS to register for free, or choose to pay this amount as a donation to support Mungeh.

Mungeh is a non-profit organization (NGO) and does not generate any personal income from these programs.
All collected fees are used solely for maintaining equipment and covering the group’s operational costs.
