Scenario “Godfather + Jack Sparrow” – Rules & Role Descriptions

This special version of the Mafia game features unique roles and specific rules, making the game more thrilling and strategic. There are three main sides in this scenario: Mafia Team, Town Team, and the Independent Side (Jack Sparrow).

Mafia Team

Goal: Eliminate all Citizen members or reach equal numbers with the Citizens (only if Jack is out of the game).

1. The Godfather

• Leader of the Mafia and the main decision-maker for night actions.
• Bulletproof Vest: Immune to the Professional’s first shot (only a direct slaughter will eliminate the Godfather).
• Abilities:
  • Shoot: Eliminate one player at night.
  • Slaughter: If the Godfather correctly guesses a player’s role, that player is eliminated without the possibility of being saved.
• Limit: Cannot shoot and slaughter in the same night.

2. Matador

• Each night, can take away the night ability of one player.
• Limit: Cannot target the same role twice unless they have already targeted all other roles once.

3. Saul Goodman

• Activation Condition: Can only be used once, and only after at least one Mafia member has been eliminated.
• If he correctly targets a Vanilla Citizen ( A cittizen member without any special ability ), that player will wake up with the Mafia team the same night and join them as a Vanilla Mafia.

Citizen Team

Goal: Identify and eliminate all Mafia members and Jack Sparrow.

1. Doctor

• Can save one player each night.
• Limit: Can only save themselves once per game.

2. Professional (Leon)

• Bulletproof Vest: Immune to the first Mafia shot (unless slaughtered by the Godfather).
• Has two bullets during the game.
• Risk: If they shoot a Citizens member, they are immediately eliminated.

3. Constantine

• Once per game, can revive one dead player.
• Limit: Players who were slaughtered or eliminated with the “Last Move – Role Reveal” card cannot be revived.

4. Citizen Kane

• Sacrificial Town Role: Once per game, can check the alignment of one player.
• If the player is Citizen, Citizen Kane only loses this ability.
• If the player is Mafia:
  1. Their role will be publicly revealed the next day.
  2. Citizen Kane will be eliminated the following night.
• Note: Jack Sparrow always appears “clean” in Citizen Kane’s check.

5. 3 Vanilla Citizens

• No special abilities, but essential in discussions and daytime voting.

Independent Side

Jack Sparrow

• Curse: Wakes up at the end of each night and curses one player (cannot place the curse on the same player twice).
• Immortal: Cannot be eliminated by Mafia shots or daytime voting.
• Three ways to be eliminated:
  1. Slaughtered by the Godfather.
  2. The cursed player is eliminated from the game.
  3. Correctly identified by a player holding the “Beautiful Mind” card (the cardholder remains in the game; Jack is eliminated).

Game End Conditions & Winning Scenarios

Jack Sparrow Wins If:

• All Mafia members are eliminated and Jack is still alive.
• Only three players remain: 1 Jack + 1 Town + 1 Mafia.

Special Three-Sided Condition:

• If 3 Mafia + 2 Town + 1 Jack remain:
  • The Mafia has not won yet.
  • They must first remove Jack’s curse from the game.

Mafia Wins If:

• The number of Mafia members equals or exceeds the number of Town members and Jack is out of the game.

Town Wins If:

All Mafia members and Jack are eliminated.
